The Bannister Hotel is named after Jack Bannister, an English corsair who stood up against the English authorities. In 1690, he fought with two ships against two English frigates on the edge of the island called “Cayo Bannister”, later named “Cayo Levantado”, which is now visited by thousands of tourists.
The hotel opened its doors by the end of 2010, offering a refreshing accommodation option in the north of the country that combines casual luxury with an impressive natural environment. It has 30 elegantly-decorated suites with impressive views towards the mountains, the Marina, and the Samaná Bay.
